Stay Here Awhile interweaves four stories in a portrait of loss and the Southern landscape. A Tennessee folklorist, Bobby Fulcher, heads into the woods after receiving a medical diagnosis. Latria Graham, a fifth generation farmer, must grapple with the implications of selling her father’s farm. A Mississippi river guide, John Ruskey, journeys downriver to erect a plaque in memory of the 10 year anniversary of the death of his soulmate and best friend. Mark Rivers, a naturalist and former professional football player accompanies John and remembers his career in football and the death of his mother. Each character reflects on loss and healing in this poetic ode to the power of landscape.
